Southern has extra motivation in Bayou Classic

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) -

The Bayou Classic is expected to be like a bowl game for Southern University.

The Jags put a damper on Alabama State's season and now they'll have a chance to ruin Grambling's.

If Southern beats Grambling, not only will the Jags stop the Tigers from playing for the SWAC title, but exact some revenge for last year's 38-17 beat down.

SU will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak in the Bayou Classic.

Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
