LSU wins season opener 10-2 over Air Force

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU batted around in its first two innings of 2012 to take a 9-1 lead over Air Force and then coasted to a 10-2 season-opening victory over the Falcons at Alex Box Stadium.

A crowd of 8,006 saw Air Force jump out to a 1-0 lead on Garrett Custon's solo home run off Kevin Gausman, but the Tigers never looked back after a 5-run first inning.

The Tigers only needed eight hits to score their ten runs.
