BAKER, LA (WAFB) -
Baker Police have arrested a woman who is accused of molesting a juvenile boy at a group home. Cynthia Haynes, 43, was wanted on five counts of molestation to a juvenile.
She is accused of making sexual contact with a juvenile that she supervised back in 2011 while working as a staff member of the Drusilla's Place boys group home, located on 15085 Plank Road in Baker.
This matter was reported to Baker Police by the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice who discovered that Haynes was behaving inappropriately with a juvenile resident. In the investigation that followed, detectives learned that Haynes made sexual contact with the juvenile at least five times throughout the course of several months in 2011.
According to police, the juvenile victim, whose name can not be released due to his age, has been removed from the facility. Haynes had been terminated from employment at the group home, prior to the arrest.
